I don't agree with your view here. I have used Turbo Tax for probably 30 years and find its software quite intuitive and easy to use.

I also know, from reading their advertisements that for certain filers with very simple tax situations, there is an online, free version of the software.

It makes TOTAL AND COMPLETE sense that for those individuals who have more complicated returns, you would need to pay for the privilege of using that software. What am I missing here?

Intuit's advertising makes it pretty clear to all but a dunce, that not everyone would be able to file using the free version.

And in what world would ANYONE ANYWHERE want the IRS doing their taxes for them? I think someone hacked your substack account and wrote this piece as a troll. That, or you have lost your ever loving mind.

You might want to take a break from posting, fix yourself some soup and get some much needed rest.

The crane thing is big. Most cranes, like 90%, are made in China by one company, zpmc, which also has the software to run these. The United States is banning Chinese cranes in a new national security law.
